| Sarah Prior |
Sarah’s yogic journey began at McMaster University in 2003, when she was introduced to vinyasa yoga. She immediately reaped the physical and mental benefits of a challenging yoga practice. In 2007, Sarah discovered De la Sol yoga studio where she practiced graciously under Katie McCleland and Erin Aquin and continues to be a part of the studio today. Inspired by the Ashtanga yoginis at De la Sol, Sarah began attending workshops in Toronto lead by David and Doug Swenson (Asthtanga), Seane Corn (vinyasa, endurance, chakaras), Todd Norian and Ann Green (Anusara), amongst others. Sarah has completed a 200hr Sadhana Yoga Chi teacher training program with Doug Swenson in Lake Tahoe, California. Holistic in nature, this system integrated Ashtanga, vinyasa, yin, karma, chi energy, ecology and diet. Yoga has been a transformational journey for Sarah helping her achieve a much deeper connection with her true being, peeling away years of grief, resentment, and insecurity. She has cultivated deep compassion and gratitude for others and wishes to enhance their life experience by offering them the same gifts that she has been granted. She continues to seek guidance from multiple styles of yoga and aims to integrate these disciplines into her practice and her teaching. To Sarah yoga at its core is not for the faint of heart, it takes courage, commitment, humility and lots of hard work but in the end the rewards are invaluable.

Jill Bergart |
Yoga may begin for most of us on the mat, but the real art and study is about bringing our yoga practice off of the mat and into our everyday life. Though I strive to do this everyday, some days are admittedly far more successful than others.I have been very fortunate to study with truly inspiring teachers who have guided me along the yogic path. Today my greatest teachers are my students and my daughter, for whom I only want to become better at what I do and what I teach.I aim to bring just enough challenge, enough laughter, and enough creativity to each of my classes so that my students feel inspired enough to return to develop their own practice, increase self awareness, physical strength and ability, and gain mental calm and clarity. My practice as a Shiatsu Therapist for over a decade has brought me greater understanding of the mechanics of movement and yoga asanas (postures) and has enabled me to give better hands-on assists to my students. I encourage anyone to simply try a yoga class - try it again for the first time if you weren't quite inspired before. Try it because you may just find it brings something to your life that is positive and fulfilling. Anyone who has practiced with me will have heard me say "...and just for fun, let's try this...". If for no other reason, try yoga 'just for fun'. Please join me for prenatal yoga classes, Hatha yoga classes (influenced by Anusara Yoga and Mom and Babe yoga classes (learn about Baby Shiatsu and yoga for your baby, too).
